I’ve always had a hard time creating flirtatious winged eyeliner, but here’s a foolproof way to make it happen (even when you wake up late and are exhausted from binge watching the Mary Tyler Moore Show till the wee hours of the morning!)
I’ve tried pretty much anything and everything when it comes to tricks, products, and techniques for creating a winged cat-eye, but I’ve never been able to master it… Until now. It’s actually quite simple; it all comes down to having the right brush!
I recently got this liner brush as a bonus gift when I purchased the “cat-eye” eye shadow palate from Too Faced and, omg – Game changer! The thickness of the brush and the uniquely slanted angle gives the perfect leverage for sweeping a kittenish line across your lids that’s alluring, playful, and easily wearable day and night.
I simply wet the brush with some cold water, gently dip it in my eyeshadow color of choice than follow my lash-line as I apply, concentrating on the outer corners. I’ve been using “panther” from the cat-eye palate as my liner color, and the pigmented shadow works perfectly, giving me a defined line almost instantly. It’s almost unreal how easy this brush makes the application. And I find that using damp shadows rather than a liquid liner or pen allows me more control in the softness of the line. If I want to go bolder, I simply add more layers to the shadow. Plus it’s easier to blend and wipe away if I make a mistake.
