Lately, I’ve been using so many beauty products from other parts of the world, I thought it may be fun to start a series of reviews called “Around the World in Beauty Products.” And so, this is it. We’re starting with France mainly because our recent trip to Paris and Burgundy was the first time I
a.) ever even thought to check out the local beauty products
b.) was so impressed by the products that it dawned on me – Other countries may have better products than we have here in the US!
So without further adieu, here are my favorite French beauty products – all tried and tested and totally loved by me.
+ Homeoplasmine – This homeopathic skin treatment was hard to fine in the big city, but we ended up finding a couple tubes in Burgundy. To be totally honest, this product is a bit hit or miss for me. Sometimes it works like a charm, sometimes it does next to nothing for my problem areas. So Jury is actually still kind of out on this one…
+ Nuxe Rive de Miel – The best, best, best lip balm in the world! Nothing makes my lips feel softer or more nourished than this lip balm from Nuxe.
+ Caudalie Eau De Beaute – Translates to “beauty elixer” which I know sounds ridiculous, but this pre-makeup spritz is so refreshing and lovely. Not sure it’s actually making any long-term difference in my complexion, but spritzing it on each morning sure makes me feel fancy! (That is except for the one morning I accidentally spritzed some in my eye! This stuff hurts! So be careful!)
+ Nuxe Nirvanesque Enrichie (Wrinkle Rich Smoothing Cream) – Hands down my favorite product of this post, this luxurious face cream feels light, elastic and totally replenishing. It’s moisturizing as well as wrinkle filling… so basically just what I always wanted.
+ Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre – This ultra moisturizing face lotion can also be used as a cleanser and that’s actually how I prefer to use it. It removes dirt and make up, while intensely moisturizing… In a word or two – F*%^$#* Brilliant!
Do you use any products from France that you’d recommend? Leave your suggestions in the comments and I’ll be sure to try them and include them in an upcoming “Around the World” post!
