99 Days of Summer Art Journal

Art journaling is one of my favorite past times, but I often don’t put aside the time to actually do it.  It’s strange how one of the things that gives me such happiness, I often don’t do because it’s “just for me” and other things take precedent.
That’s why this summer I am taking the challenge to journal every day – from Memorial Day to Labor Day, which is approximately 99 days of Summer.  The idea is to have a nice little keepsake chronicling the summer of 2014 that I can look back at and enjoy.  The first step was to find my journal and customize it of course!  So I whipped up this graphic for the cover…
The best part about art journaling is that it doesn’t have to be as planned or curated as a scrapbook.  It’s just life as it happens.  I plan to use plenty of instagram shots, magazine clippings and notes to capture my days no matter how mundane or uneventful they may seem.  (But how could they ever be anything less than fabulous?)
Are you going to take the challenge?
