Andrew Jackson’s Birthplace(s) – One for Each Carolina

Apparently there is some debate over where exactly our seventh president of the United States was born.  There are two places claiming to be the “official birthplace of Andrew Jackson” — One in North Carolina and one in South Carolina.
As part of our Big Kettle Drum Road Trip this past summer, we visited both locations. Naturally.

As you can see, both were really lovely attractions.  Too bad only one can be the real thing… Any opinions on which is real and which is hear-say?  Yeah, we couldn’t tell either.
